Dr. Alissa Nelson received her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She then came to work as an Audiology Assistant for Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery Associates.

After working as an Audiology Assistant for a year, Dr. Nelson was accepted to the University of North Texas to pursue her Doctorate in Audiology. Dr. Nelson recently completed her externship with Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery Associates and graduated with her Doctor of Audiology degree in May 2023.

Dr. Nelson was raised in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. She is married (Jake) and has two puppies (Kobe and Moxie). In her free time, she enjoys traveling, a good cup of coffee and playing with her puppies. She is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and Dallas Audiology Society (DAS).
